This coffee is super special and will not disappoint, with honey sweetness, light strawberry acidity and lovely Spring floral notes. This coffees complexity and sweetness is mind blowing; we discover something new every time we drink it. This coffee is best enjoyed filtered, brewed with your Aero Press, Pour over or cafetiere".

Over the Mountain in La Sierra Neighbourhood, Commune 8 of Medellin, there is El Tractor farm. Don Gabriel Cortes has the highest grown and also one of the highest scored coffees in the area. His red bourbon variety is legendary and recently won the best coffee cupped in Medellin award and the 4th place in the Master of Cafe Colombia.

The coffee is grown high up in La Sierra, Medellin at over 2,300 meters above sea level. He has been a farmer since he was a child however, like many in the mountains above the Aburra Valley, Don Gabriel is a survivor. He came to La Sierra displaced from his farm in Begachi by violence in the region more than 16 years ago.

This special coffee has a cup score of 87. This is a special batch with an experimental fermentation process. Red Bomb double fermentation, which starts with 170h fermentation in cherry, then the coffee is de-pulped and a second fermentation in the same juices (mosto) take place for another 170h. Then coffee is Sun-dried.

This coffee has been imported by our ethical importer partners, Colombian Artisan Coffee who paid to the farmer 250% more than the coffee market price.
